About Company

WELLGEN MEDICAL is a group of academicians and medical professionals specializing in microscopic imaging, recognition, and automation. We developed an automated system including a hardware for image acquisition and software that consisted of patented in-house auto focusing, imaging processing, and microorganism recognition and identification. Furthermore, our software recognition can be integrated into a cloud computing system which a centralized recognition engine can service laboratory clients all over the world.

Founder’s Story

Dr. Eason Lin is the founder, President & CEO of Wellgen Medical and currently a full professor at National Kaohsiung Normal University, TAIWAN. He was a research assistant professor at Division of Infectious Disease of Medicine (2000 ~ 2001), and a visiting professor at University of Pittsburgh (2013 ~ 2016). His professional expertise is in the area of hospital-acquired infections control, design and marketing of medical devices, and big data application in medicine. Dr. Lin was awarded as “Extinguished Researcher Award” (2010 ~2012) by Ministry of Science and Technology, TAIWAN; “Young International Affair Advocate” (2010) by Executive Yuan, TAIWAN; “Research Achievement Award” by the University.
